U.S. ag secretary visits Gallipolis

U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack talks with Gallia County Democrats during a round-table discussion Wednesday morning at the Gallia County Democratic Headquarters on Second Avenue. Vilsack, a former governor of Iowa (1999-2007) has served as USDA secretary since 2009 in President Obama’s Cabinet, urged Democrats to get out and vote for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Vilsack’s staffers said the secretary was traveling throughout southeastern and eastern Ohio “on his own accord and not in an official capacity.”
