It’s official. Gallia County is moving on.
Both River Valley and South Gallia are headed to the 2015 OHSAA football playoffs after finishing the regular season ranked in the top eight of their respective divisions.
The Raiders (7-3) will be making the program’s first-ever postseason appearance at 7:30 p.m. Friday night when they travel to Kinnikinnick for a Division V, Region 17 contest against Scioto Valley Conference champion Zane Trace (10-0). RVHS drew a seven seed and the Pioneers are rated No. 2 in the region.
The Rebels (6-4) managed to sneak their way into the program’s fourth playoff appearance by finishing eighth in the Division VII, Region 25 bracket. SGHS will travel to top-seeded Danville (10-0) for a 7:30 p.m. contest Friday night.
