Talking compassionate care

Dear Editor,

My mother, Wylodine Evans, recently died at her home in Gallipolis.

I hope the residents of Gallia County realize what a wonderful health care facility you have in the Holzer Cancer Center affiliated with the James Center at OSU.

The employees of the Holzer Cancer Center are some of the most compassionate, caring, friendly, and competent persons I have had the privilege to observe and work with. From the receptionist , to the nurses, the billing specialist, the social worker, the pharmacists, and all in the Infusion center, my mother was treated as if she was a family member and friend to all! Her hematologist-oncologist, Dr. Kunter, was first class in all aspects of medicine. Most importantly, she treats you as a person and not a number.

If anyone unfortunately needs cancer services in Gallia County, the Holzer Cancer Center would be a first class place to go. I am proud to call Gallipolis a place I grew up!
