GALLIPOLIS — The Gallia County K-9 Shelter is always on the lookout to provide adoption opportunities for stray and unwanted dogs. For more information on how to begin the dog adoption process, contact the shelter at (740) 441-0207. Gallia County K-9 Shelter does not handle animal cases outside of dogs.
Shelter workers are focused on finding their pit bulls at this time good homes as part of their operation “No Pit Left Behind.” Due to the city ordinance in Gallipolis, however, they cannot adopt such dogs to someone living within municipal limits as the animals are banned by law.
