GALLIPOLIS – Author and paranormal investigator James A. Willis will speak at Bossard Memorial Library beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
The author of several books, including The Big Book of Ohio Ghost Stories, Central Ohio Legends & Lore, and Ohio’s Historic Haunts: Investigating the Paranormal in the Buckeye State, Willis has also co-authored and contributed to books in the Weird U.S. series including Weird Ohio and Weird Hauntings.
Willis has over 30 years of experience in investigating the paranormal and is the founder of Ghosts of Ohio, a nationally-recognized paranormal research organization that uses scientific and historic methods to investigate and document hauntings across the state. Since its founding, the not-for-profit group has grown to three divisions in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.
During the presentation at Bossard Library, attendees will get a glimpse inside the world of ghost hunting, and learn more about encounters Willis has had with the paranormal around the state. Audio and video clips, as well as photographs related to Willis’ work with Ohio’s hauntings will be included within the presentation. Willis will also discuss the types of equipment used during ghost-hunting, and those attending will also have the opportunity to try out some of this ghost-hunting equipment.
The author will hold a question and answer session following the presentation and autographed copies of his books will be available for purchase at the event.
