GALLIPOLIS — Join the Ariel Children’s Chorus for its fall concert, Giving Thanks, at 2 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Ariel Theatre’s third floor Chamber Theatre.
The audience will hear solos, duets and the entire group will sing Thanksgiving classics such as “Let Us Break Bread Together” and “We Come To Say Thank You.” The audience will also have the opportunity to sing along with the children’s chorus on traditional hymns like “Come Ye Thankful People Come” and “We Gather Together.”
Admission is free and open to the public.
As a prelude to the Christmas season, the ACC will offer Ruth Schram’s “Christmas Grace,” the haunting “Walking in the Air” from the movie, “The Snowman,” and “Text Me Merry Christmas!” The audience is invited to join the ACC on the chorus of the finale, Oye, a bouncy, highly rhythmic tune of celebration, complete with percussion.
The Ariel Children’s Chorus is under the direction of Judith Cavendish and meets between 4-5 p.m. Thursdays in the Ariel Chamber Theatre on the third floor of the Ariel-Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Centre complex.
