GALLIPOLIS — Area law enforcement executed a search warrant at 416 Hedgewood Drive in Gallipolis on Monday where they arrested three individuals for the trafficking and possession of crack cocaine and methamphetamine.
Gallipolis Chief of Police Jeff Boyer reports Monday, officers from the Gallipolis Police Department, Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents form the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commissions Major Crimes Task Force of Gallia-Meigs Counties served the warrant in a coordinated effort.
Law enforcement reports the search warrant stems from a lengthy investigation of drug trafficking involving the residence. Task force agents with the assistance of the Gallia County Prosecutor’s Office were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence located on Hedgewood Drive.
Agents searched the residence with the assistance of the Gallipolis City Police Department and the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office. After the search was completed task force agents seized alleged crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales and a prescription pills along with money.
Task force agents arrested Shannon N. Johnson, 39, and Zachariah A. Lewis, 30, both residents of 416 Hedgewood Drive, for trafficking and possession of crack cocaine. Isaac James Gerard Harris, 32, of Columbus, was arrested for trafficking and possession of crack cocaine and trafficking and possession of methamphetamine. All those arrested were transported to the Gallia County Jail.
The Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commissions Major Crimes Task Force was formed in September 2013 and consists of the Gallia and Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Gallipolis City and Middleport Police Departments and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the Gallia and Meigs County Prosecutor Offices, The Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission is part of the Ohio Attorney Generals Office.
