Jake is a year-and-a-half old purebred chocolate Labrador. He is good with children and people. However, he has a penchant for chasing cats. Shelter staff say that he is better behaved to indoor life as they believe he came from such a background. He has no problem being outside though. He is low energy and a past owner-release animal.
Spud is a Dachshund-Beagle mix puppy a little less than a year old. He is a low-energy animal and is good with people and other pets. According to shelter workers, he loves to ride in vehicles and would make a good lap dog.
Sampy is a mastiff-pit bull mix dog of roughly two years. He is low energy and friendly with people and animals. He came into the shelter with a skin condition. However, he is recovering well and waiting for a good home.
Bernie is a year old St. Bernard and wolfhound mix. He is friendly with people and dogs and would best be suited to a family with an active lifestyle as he is a high-energy animal. He is also a larger dog and weighs around 85 to 90 pounds. Shelter workers say the public should inquire about neuter and spay vouchers.
