GALLIPOLIS — Gallia Prosecutor Jason Holdren’s Office reports the Gallia County Grand Jury met in March and returned indictments for the following individuals.

Synthia L. Hurt, of Bidwell, one count of possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth-degree, and one count of illegal conveyance of drug of abuse onto the grounds of a specified government facility, a felony of the third-degree. Brian K. Grabans, of Gallipolis, one count of breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth-degree. Ravyn Barr, of Vinton, one count of theft, a felony of the fifth-degree. Timothy M. Petro, of Crown City, one count of breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth-degree, and one count of safe cracking, a felony of the fourth-degree.

Jamin D. Johnson, of Gallipolis, one count of failure to appear, a felony of the fourth-degree. James N. Johnson, of Gallipolis, one count of sexual battery, a felony of the third-degree, and one count of gross sexual imposition, a felony of the third-degree. Eddie R. Bryant, of Charleston, W.Va., two counts of tampering with evidence, felonies of the third-degree, one count of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth-degree, one count of possession of heroin, a felony of the first-degree, and one count of trafficking in heroin, a felony of the first-degree.

Sherry L. Sayre, of Gallipolis, one count of telecommunication fraud, a felony of the fifth-degree.

Lacey Jade Young, of Middleport, one count of gross abuse of a corpse, a felony of the fifth-degree, one count of tampering with evidence, a felony of the third-degree. Leeza Bartles, of Bidwell, one count of gross abuse of a corpse, a felony of the fifth-degree, one count of tampering with evidence, a felony of the third-degree. Ralph W. Young Jr., of Bidwell, one count of gross abuse of a corpse, a felony of the fifth-degree, one count of tampering of evidence, a felony of the third-degree.

Erica K. James, of Gallipolis, one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth-degree.

Richard Allen Hurt II, of Bidwell, one count of possession of heroin, a felony of the second-degree, one count of trafficking in heroin, a felony of the second-degree, and one count of tampering with evidence, a felony of the third-degree.

Vernon C. Taylor, of Vinton, nine counts of rape, felonies of the first-degree, and three counts of gross sexual imposition, felonies of the third-degree.

The cases against those indicted will proceed in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
