GALLIPOLIS — The French Art Colony’s “Roaring 20’s” event and fundraiser will be held at the Colony Club in Gallipolis, Saturday, April 1, with doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The 1920s theme will be carried out through a special food and drink menu created by the Colony Club, as well live entertainment by Jan Haddox, decorations, photo stations, and a few surprises.
Formerly themed as Mardi Gras, the annual fundraiser has been re-imagined by the French Art Colony team to reflect the era of the Great Gatsby and speakeasies. Although not required, several attendees are planning to dress in the 1920s fashion.
A key feature of the annual event is live auction and silent auction of an array if items ranging from vacations, tickets to concerts and sporting events, original art, jewelry, merchandise, certificates for services and area restaurants, collectibles, themed baskets, and more. Trips include Myrtle Beach area, Put-In-Bay, Emerald Isle and more.
All auction items have been donated by area businesses, supporters of the French Art Colony and volunteers. The live auction will begin at 8 p.m., with the silent auction ending at 9:30 p.m.
Tickets for the French Art Colony’s Roaring 20’s are for $20 each, and includes food. Tickets may be purchased in advance at The French Art Colony, or at the door, if available. Supplies are limited. For more information, call the French Art Colony, 740-446-3834.
