GALLIPOLIS — The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office arrested one male Tuesday evening for the alleged manufacture of methamphetamine after deputies and detectives searched a home at 1974 State Route 141.
In a video posted on the Gallia County Sheriff Facebook page, Sheriff Matt Champlin stands in front of the residence while sharing information from the evening’s events. Champlin states deputies “intercepted” an alleged “clandestine or methamphetamine lab” at the residence.
“Deputies and detectives were able to secure the scene and make it safe,” Champlin said. “Meth technicians from the Gallipolis Police Department and Gallia County Sheriff’s Office were called in to process the scene.”
Champlin reported officers had received a tip about the location and the following arrest was made of a Gallia resident. This is a breaking story and the name of the person arrested has not yet been released. Check back here for updates as information becomes available.
