On Wednesday, the third floor of the Gallia County Courthouse offered up cake, refreshments and a celebration of Common Pleas Court Judge D. Dean Evans, whose term expires Dec. 31. Evans, pictured fourth from left inside the courtroom he has presided in over the years, is joined by staff: Jessica McGhee, Linda Warner, Debra Cardwell, Roger Brandeberry, Angie Burns, Joy Elliott, Shari Van Gundy, Candy Montgomery.
