Gallipolis Garden Club continues ‘We’ve got Talent’

GALLIPOLIS — Maxie Oliver continued the theme of “We’ve Got Talent” at the March meeting of the Gallipolis Garden Club.

Oliver’s topic,”Garden Photography” was full of tips on how to take pictures of flowers, shrubs and backyard garden art. She presented photos that she had taken in her own yard, neighborhood and in places where she had vacationed. She encouraged all to not be shy about taking pictures and to find the best light and the best way to make the flowers the center of the picture. She said that all types of cameras could be used to make memories of flower gardens and urged all to know how to use a camera. She stated that she had used large cameras as well as her cellphone camera and captured photogenic pictures. Albums of pictures as well as a slide show on DVD player were used to complete the presentation.

Club members are reminded that April 20 will be the next meeting instead of April 13. The presentation will be on “Walking the Way” – Garden Pathways. Anyone interested in attending a meeting or joining the club should contact Club President Suzy Williams.
