PURE receives pageant industry recognition

GALLIPOLIS — Gallia County residents, the Miller family, owners of Pure International Pageants (PURE), recently received international recognition from The Pageant Planet for their work in the pageant industry.

The Pageant Planet website has over 350,000 daily visitors and resource for all those wanting to become involved in pageantry. The Pageant Planet provides a single location to get the most current news and information, professional connections, pageant coaching, and blogs for contestants of all ages in all of the major pageant systems including Miss USA and Miss America.

PURE was named as a Top 10 International Pageant System, Top 10 Preteen Pageant System, and Top 10 Ms. Pageant System in the world.

Pat Miller, owner and executive director, was named as a Top 10 Pageant Director for her work in her system as well as the rest of the pageant industry for the second time.

Ashley Horsley, Gallipolis resident and PURE Official Emcee and International Staff Member, was named in the Top 10 Pageant Emcees where she placed in the number five slot.

Each top 10 list on Pageant Planet was chosen by a board of professionals in the pageant industry.

Pure International Pageants is a pageant system that works to promote community service, professionalism, and positive body image. With age division for girls 0-100 and boys 0-14, PURE caters to a variety of ages.

In February 2011, PURE held its first pageant in Gallipolis. In six years, they have grown to 40 states and 21 countries easily making them one of the fastest growing pageant systems in the world. Contestants compete in personal introduction, personal interview, modeling, and evening gown. The 2017 international pageant will be held in June in Orlando, Fla.
