Oleva Gaie Bryant, 86, of Bidwell, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Holzer Medical Center.

She was born September 4, 1926, in Logan County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Stollie W. and Myrtle McKinney Hainor. She married John T. “J.T.” Bryant on November 14, 1942, and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2009. She attended French City Southern Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and cooking.

Surviving are her four sons, Gary (Candy) Bryant of Bidwell, Dale (Sherry) Bryant of Florida, Greg (Cindy) Bryant and Michael (Polly) Bryant, both of Gallipolis; a daughter-in-law, Lori Bryant of Gallipolis; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Steele of Richmond, Kentucky, and Betty Lou Smith of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Betty Bryant of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Mary Rose Marcum of Chapmanville, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents and husband, John “J.T.” Bryant, she was preceded in death by a son, Barry Steve Bryant, and a grandson, Shawn Maynard.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Chapel of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 6-8 p.m.

Her grandsons and great-grandsons will be pallbearers.
