Hazel Ellen Bush, 95, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Holzer Medical Center. Hazel was born on March 7, 1917, in Harrison Township, Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Stella Saunders. She was retired from the cafeteria at Holzer Medical Center.
Hazel was married to Orville Lee Bush, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Louise Bush; a grandson, Matthew K. O’Dell; siblings, Herschel, Eugene, Kenneth, Frank, Paul Stewart, and Pauline Hornsby; and an aunt Ollie Oliver.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Pat (Jim) O’Dell of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Robin (Mike) Hutchinson of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Jeff O’Dell of Gallipolis; granddaughter-in-law, Kim O’Dell of Bidwell; great-grandchildren, Christopher Hutchinson, Sean and Jimmy O’Dell; one brother, Harold (Emily) Stewart of Minford; and a niece, Clarabell Roach of Gallipolis, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Willis Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Willis Funeral Home.
