Rachel Evans Morrison, 85, of 2 Empress Drive, Greenville, S.C., formerly of Bradley Park, Anderson, S.C., passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Sterling House in Greer, S.C.

Born September 7, 1927, in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte Thomas Evans. Rachel was a graduate of Holzer Hospital and was a Pediatric Registered Nurse before becoming a faithful wife and full-time mother to her three sons. She was also a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Anderson.

Surviving are her husband, Carlos T. Morrison of the home; three sons, John Morrison (Michelle) of Greenville, Richard Morrison (Jandell) of Winston Salem and Norman Morrison (Sheri) of Taylors; five granddaughters, Magee, Lacey, Macaulay, Caroline Morrison and Hillary (Clif) Salter; one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Clara Haskins of Gallipolis, Ohio, and her beloved dog, Bootsie.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary with Rev. Dan Batson officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 N Hwy 81, Anderson, S.C. The family is at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, 515 S McDuffie St., Anderson, S.C. 29624.
