Eliza Jane McCulty, 83, Gallipolis (Kanauga Community) passed away at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in the Four Winds Community at Jackson.
Born August 3, 1929, in Hinton, West Virginia, Jane was the daughter of the late Charles Manley and Daisy Nelson Stewart. Jane was a homemaker, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Rio Grande, and held membership for over 36 years in the Gallipolis Chapter # 283 of the Ohio Eastern Star. Jane was also a member of the Gallipolis Emblem Club # 199 and served as manager for over 42 years for the Gallipolis Elks Club bingo program.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gene McCulty, whom she married July 11, 1953, in Ashland, Kentucky; her son, Robert (Cathy) McCulty, Gallipolis; daughter, Linda White, Bidwell; grandchildren, Elizabeth (D.R.) Keeton, Andrea (Jake) Gannaway and Matthew White; great-grandchildren, Robbie Keeton and Ethan Gannaway; a brother, John Stewart, Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Daisy Mae Whanger, Helena Francis Williams, Margaret Pollack; infant sister, Nan; and brothers, Charles M. Stewart, Jr., Robert Nelson Stewart, William Oliver Stewart and James Stewart.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastors Vinton Rankin and Carl Ward. Interment will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Casketbearers are Bob McCulty, D.R. Keeton, Jake Gannaway, Matthew White, Carl Ward and David Gibson.
