Charles Harold Edmiston, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 12, 2012, surrounded by loving family. He was born in Vinton, Ohio, on February 5, 1919, and lived there until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in WWII and proudly served as a radar technician in North Africa and Europe. Upon returning to Drew Field in Tampa, he married the love of his live, Colleen Williams, and was about to celebrate their 67th anniversary. Over the years, they lived in Vinton, Ohio, Tampa, Ruskin and most recently Land O’ Lakes, Fla. He was a rancher and cattle auctioneer at livestock markets throughout central Florida.

He is predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Grace Edmiston; brother, Dr. Phillip Edmiston, and children, Charles Clayton, Cathy Eileen, and Norton Patten. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; children, Lisa Edmiston, Susan Juarez (Richard); granddaughter, Kelley Cutillo; sister, Mary Lanier of Vinton, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at St. John the Divine Annex, 815 College Ave., East in Ruskin, Fla. The Episcopal Eucharistic Burial Service will be held at 2 p.m. with a reception following. Interment will be on Saturday, October 20, 2012, in Vinton, Ohio.
