Harold E. Denney, 78, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born January 20, 1934, in Harrisburg, Ohio, son of the late Paul Denney and Mary Moore Denney Flowers. He was retired from Commercial Lovelace Motor Freight and was a veteran of the United States Army. Harold was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Ohio Husky Musky Club and the Ohio Buckeye Big Buck Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Denney; daughter, Jeri Reffitt, Columbus, Ohio; sons, Thomas (Barbara) Denney, Logan, Ohio and Craig (Sandra) Denney, Delaware, Ohio; step-daughters, Dianna Gill, Canal Winchester, Ohio and Jackie Erwin, Marysville, Ohio; brother, Donald Denney; sisters, Ruth Ann (Donald) Shupe, Bidwell, Ohio and Mildred (Bill) George, Bidwell, Ohio; half-sister, Pauline (Lauchey) McCoy; half-brothers, John Robert, Vinton, Ohio and James (Charlotte) Letart, West Virginia; four grandsons, two granddaughters and many surviving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by three brothers and a sister: Wyman, Paul Jr., Richard and Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio with Rev. Herman George officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service Thursday. Burial will follow in the Denney Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio.
