She was born Nov. 9, 1940, in Lumberton, N.C., daughter of Fredrick Walker and Annie Mae Hill Anchors. She was a former nurse’s aide with the Health Center, Alliance.
She was a Methodist by faith. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Alliance and the Channel One Club.
Surviving are her daughters, Martha Rogers and her husband, John, Alliance, and Pamela Ann Emtireh and her husband Adnan, Fayetteville, N.C.; son, Marion Davis and his wife, Candie, Letart Falls; a sister, Bobbie Jean Lambert and her husband, Bob, Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Randy Anchors and his wife, Delma, Lumberton, N.C.; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo E. Davis, Sr.; son, Joseph Davis, Sr., and daughter, Shawna Davis Skeen.
Service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W.Va., with burial to follow in Letart Falls Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
