GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — The Ohio Valley Christian volleyball team split a tri-match on Friday evening against Teays Valley Christian and Covenant.
The Lady Defenders (9-3) fell to Teays Valley Christian by scores of 15-25 and 12-25.
Maggie Westfall had eight points (three aces) to lead OVCS. Allie Hamilton added five points (one ace), Madison Crank and Samantha Westfall each had three points (one ace), Beth Martin and Sarah Schoonover had three points each, and Bryanne Hamilton had two points.
Samantha Westfall, Maggie Westfall, Martin, and Crank each had one kill and one block. Samantha Westfall had two assists and two digs, Allie Hamilton had one assists and one dig, Maggie Westfall had one assist, and Crank and Schoonover each had one dig.
OVCS defeated Covenant by scores of 25-19 and 25-18.
Maggie Westfall had 15 points (eight aces), Schoonover had nine points, Samantha Westfall added eight points (two aces), Allie Hamilton had six points (two aces), Crank had six points (one ace), Martin had four points (one ace), and Bryanne Hamilton had two points.
Samantha Westfall and Allie Hamilton each had four kills and Maggie Westfall had three kills and two blocks.
Allie Hamilton had four digs, Maggie Westfall had three digs, and Crank, Martin, Schoonover, and Samantha Westfall each had one dig. Samantha Westfall had six assists, Maggie Westfall had four, and Martin had one.
Lady Rebels beat Federal Hocking
STEWART, Ohio — The South Gallia volleyball team defeated Federal Hocking by scores of 25-12, 25-22, and 25-15.
Tori Duncan led the team with 12 points (three aces), followed by Chrissy Howell with 10 points (three aces), Meghan Caldwell with eight points, Tayler Duncan and Ellie Bostic with four points each, Shelby Merry with three points (one ace), and Jasmyne Johnson had two points (one ace).
Tayler Duncan and Tori Duncan each had nine assists. Bostic had six kills, Merry had four kills, Caldwell and Johnson each had three kills, and Tayler Duncan and Tori Duncan each had one kill.
Federal Hocking won the JV match by scores of 25-22, 15-25, and 25-22.
