James Andrew Laudermilt, 61, West Columbia, W.Va., died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Lakin Hospital.

He was born Feb. 11, 1949, in Mason, W.Va., son of the late Herbert and Freda Mae Edwards Laudermilt. He worked as a general laborer on construction.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son; brothers and sister: James Bland, Larry Laudermilt, Gary Laudermilt, John Laudermilt and Betty Laudermilt.

He is survived by his children: Jamie Hudson, Andy (Donna) Jones of Mason, Michael (Stephanie) Jones of Pomeroy, Robert Jones of West Columbia, and Kathy Mae Jones of West Columbia; his companion, Shirley Jones of West Columbia; two brothers, Charles “Ted” (Janet) Bland of Huntsville and Walter (Judy) Laudermilt of Racine; a sister, Marie (Dennis) Harris of Pomeroy; a sister-in-law, Hattie Laudermilt, Racine; several grandchildren and a special friend, Billy Brimley.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, W.Va., with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery in New Haven, W.Va.
