Helen F. Britton, 82, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born September 16, 1927, in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Hoadley L. and Julia Sheets Garlic.

Helen retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Kay (Tom) Neal of McArthur and Paula Lynn (Marvin) Hale of Albany; grandchildren, Steph, Les, Chris, Marla and Jake; great grandchildren, Sophia, Spencer, Olivia and Owen; a brother, Franklin D. Garlic of Crown City, Ohio; and a special friend, Gene Britton of Wellston.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Max and Junior Garlic.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.
