GALLIPOLIS — Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the February attempted home invasion on Third Avenue in Gallipolis.

Randolph M. Wagoner, 47, was arrested Monday by officers from the Gallipolis Police Department on a grand jury indictment for robbery charges in connection with the incident.

The incident took place around 1 p.m. on Feb. 16 when Wagoner, allegedly wearing a toboggan and sunglasses and carrying a knife, entered victim Michael Rose’s residence. Rose was able to kick the knife from his assailant’s hands before chasing him from his home. Wagoner reportedly ran through the Ohio Valley Bank Annex parking lot and escaped in a vehicle.

Wagoner was scheduled to appear today in the Gallia County Court of Common Pleas.
