Wesley U. Weikle, 92, Letart, W.Va., passed away on Friday March 19, 2010, at the Arbors of Gallipolis. He was born August 12, 1917, in Wayside, W.Va., a son to the late S. Anderson and Nellie Taylor Weikle. He was an U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII as an inspector and warehouseman.

Preceded in death by one son, Bruce Weikle; brothers, Leslie, Tommy and Harry Weikle; sister, Hazel Cox; and son-in-law, William “Bill” Hass.

Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip W. and “Jeannie” Weikle of Point Pleasant; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki Hass of Gallipolis, Romona and “Terry” Gray of Letart and Valarie and “Charlie” McKinney of Point Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister-in-law, Arminta Weikle; and special care givers, Thelma Workman, Ruth Gray, Kim Litchfield, Angie George, Jean Rice and Kim Harriston.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday March 21, 2010, at Deal Funeral Home with Rev. Trevar McQuiston officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, Flat Rock, W.Va. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
