More shoplifters sentenced

GALLIPOLIS — Five more individuals accused of shoplifting from the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Gallipolis have pled guilty to theft charges.

Amber Brumfield, 29, Ashton, W.Va., who was charged with the theft of clothing items and criminal trespass, pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, fined $25 for both charges and ordered to stay out of Wal-Mart.

Jessica Blankenship, 20, and Karla Sexton, 39, both of Gallipolis, pled guilty to theft and were each fined $25, sentenced to three days in jail or 10 days house arrest and ordered to stay out of Wal-Mart. Blankenship and Sexton were charged with shoplifting $99 worth of DVDs.

Kelly Huffman, 22, Point Pleasant, W.Va., charged with stealing $200 worth of food items and a go-phone, pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined $25.

Anthony Ulfves, 21, Crown City, charged with the theft of a pair of shoes pled guilty and was sentenced to three days in jail or 10 days house arrest and fined $25.

The cases against Laurel Henson, 44, Gallipolis, and Alex Lee, 19, Gallipolis, are still pending.
