Following a two day trial, jurors found Charles Brandon Lusher, 29, 2169 Ohio 141, Gallipolis, guilty of theft, falsification and telecommunications fraud. The jury acquitted him of a separate telecommunications fraud charge, an illegal use of foodstamps charge and a Medicaid eligibility charge.
Lusher is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 18.
According to Ernie Meadows, former fraud investigator for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the charges stemmed from a 2007 report that Lusher was allegedly defrauding the state in regard to property.
