Gallia-Meigs CAA receives grant for homeowner program

CHESHIRE — A grant from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency to build six homes in the Gallia-Meigs county area has been received by the Gallia-Meigs Community Action Agency.

The CAA will offer a low-interest, 30-year fixed loan requiring no down payment and minimum closing costs to qualified residents. The program is available to anyone with low to moderate income living in Gallia or Meigs County.

The houses to be built will have three bedrooms, two baths, living room, kitchen and 1 1/2 car garage and each one will be energy efficient with appliances included.

Potential homeowners must meet income guidelines, be presently employed and have excellent credit.

The income guidelines are as follows:

• 1 person, $18,850-$30,150

• 2 person, $21,500-34,450

• 3 person, $24,200-$37,650

• 4 person, $26,900-$43,050

• 5 person, $29,050-$46-500

• 6 person,$31,200-$49,950
