Robert Emmett McCausland, Jr., 54, of Gallipolis, formerly of Point Pleasant, W.Va., died Monday, January 4, 2010, after a short illness at Holzer Medical Center.

He was born July 8, 1955, in Mason County, W.Va., a son to the late Robert Emmett McCausland, Sr. and Hilda Christine Simpkins McCausland.

He was a past employee of Johnson and Johnson Mobile Home and was an U.S. Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Terry McCausland.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Springer; one daughter, Kimberly Irene Springer Baird; one brother, Jackie Lee and (Debbie) McCausland of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; sisters, Patricia Ann and (Wagdy) Refai of Houston, Texas, Susan Ellen Beachy of Point Pleasant, W.Va., Christina Lynn Mahoney of Jacksonville, Fla.; his special friend and pet, Lady Bug; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Deal Funeral Home with Pastor David Ricks officiating. Burial will be in the McCausland Family Cemetery, Southside, W.Va. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
