GALLIPOLIS — Deputies of the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office took two brothers into custody on Jan. 1 in connection with the theft of two ATVs as well as a number of additional items allegedly stolen during a spree of residential burglaries in the Kanauga/Addison area.

Ryan Henry, 20, and Steven Henry, 22, both of Gallipolis, were arrested Friday on charges of theft, according to Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning.

Ryan Henry was reportedly taken into custody regarding a stolen ATV that was initially located off of Farm Road by its owner. Browning said deputies were then able to locate another stolen ATV in close proximity and a subsequent investigation ended in the arrest of both brothers, who are now facing charges in the four-wheeler thefts.

According to Browning, deputies were also able to link the pair, along with a third individual whose name has not yet been released, to at least six residential burglaries that appear to be confined to the Kanauga-Addison area. Through their investigation, Browning said that deputies were able to recover a good bit of property including firearms, furniture, electronics, big screen televisions, clothing, hunting accessories and long bows. He added that more charges will likely be sought following consultation with the Gallia County Prosecutor.

It should be noted that a family member of the suspects did provide some assistance to the sheriff’s office during this investigation.

Browning is asking the public to help out by calling the sheriff’s tip line at 446-6555 if they have information that might assist investigators.
