White Falcons drop 2 at Chapmanville Holiday Tourney

CHAPMANVILLE — The Wahama White Falcons dropped a pair at the Chapmanville Holiday Tournament this week.

The White Falcons played host Chapmanville on Monday evening, losing by a score of 85-60. Wahama trailed early and by the half, were down 42-25. The White Falcons were held to 13 points in the third quarter, before scoring 22 in the final quarter of play. Chapmanville scored at least 19 points in each of the four quarters.

Wahama was led by a 23 point effort by Isaac Lee. Ryan Lee added 12 points, Elijah Honaker had nine points, Zach Whitlatch scored eight points, Trenton Gibbs had four points, and Matt Arnold and Tyler Kitchen each scored two points.

The Tigers were led by Todd Terry with 25 points, Dusty Wood and Cliff Hall with 14 points each, and Ethan Brumfield with 11 points.

On the second night of the tournament, Wahama faced off against Sherman. The Tide defeated the White Falcons 72-51.

Wahama fell behind early, trailing 23-15 at the end of the first quarter. The Sherman lead continued to increase in the second quarter, with the Tide outscoring Wahama 19-8 in the quarter. Sherman led 44-23 at the half.

The White Falcons and Tide each score 13 in the third, and Sherman outscored Wahama 17-10 in the final quarter of play.

Wahama was again led by Isaac Lee who score 19 points, giving him a total of 44 for the two games. Arnold and Whitlatch each scored eight points, Kitchen had six points, Honaker had five points, Ryan Lee scored three points, and Tyler Roush added two points.

Sherman was led by Colby Treadway with 26 points.

The White Falcons return to the court on Jan. 5, as they travel to Meigs County to face the Southern Tornadoes.

I would just like to add that Isaac Lee made All-Tournament at that game.
