Henrietta Gertrude (Callahan) Terry, 93, Thurman, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 19, 2009. She was born in Jackson County August 12, 1916, to the late Merle and Sarah Ann (Harris) Callahan. She was a member of the Thurman United Methodist Church. She loved her family, sewing and working in her yard.

She is survived by children, Wilmena (Melvin) Carter, Janice (Gene) Layton and Bob (Wanda) Terry; sisters, Clara Schwartz, Frances Hayner, Eleanor Reed and Irene Yates; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Terry, and one sister, Edna Overly.

The funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday December 22, 2009, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Thurman United Methodist Church, Box 2000, Thurman, Ohio 45685.
