Students from Wee Care Day Care located at First Church of God in Gallipolis visited the Nina and Pinta on Monday. About 25 children along with Wee Care director Diana Sanders, teachers Tanya Fulks and Allison Pelletier and Rev. Paul Voss from First Church of God took the tour of the replicas of the ships Christopher Columbus used in his crossing of the Atlantic Ocean to the New World. School children and residents from Gallia County and surrounding areas have toured the ships since they first docked at the Gallipolis riverfront last Wednesday. The Nina and Pinta were scheduled to depart Gallipolis this morning and sail to Maysville, Ky. From there, the ships are headed south to Pensacola, Fla., where they will dock for the winter.
