Point Pleasant and Wahama playoff bound

POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Big Blacks and the Wahama White Falcons are both heading to the State Playoffs after wins this past weekend.

Both teams ended the regular season ranked 10th in their respective Classes. Both teams will be looking at long trips for their respective Friday night contests.

Point Pleasant (7-3) will be facing Keyser (7-3) Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Keyser High School on the Golden Tornado’s new field.

Wahama (8-2) will be facing Fayetteville (8-2) Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. with the game being played at Nicholas County High School in Summersville, W.Va.

For Point Pleasant this is the second year in a row they are in the playoffs. The White Falcons are returning to post season play after missing the playoffs last year.
