POMEROY — A man charged with providing false information to investigators in the murder of Winfield Hardiman of Albany has admitted to the charge.

Prosecuting Attorney Colleen S. Williams said Calvin D. Donohue, also known as Calvin D. Tolley, 34, of Route 143, Pomeroy, appeared before Common Pleas Court Judge Fred W. Crow III to enter a plea of guilty to one count of obstructing justice, a felony of the third degree.

Donohue gave false information and withheld information he had in connection with Hardiman’s murder, Williams said Tuesday. His brother, Trinity Whitcraft, also known as “Ty” Tolley, entered a plea of guilty to one count of murder on July 21, in connection with that death.

Crow accepted the plea of guilty and sentenced Donohue immediately to a term of four years in prison.
