She is preceded in death by her first husband, Victor Halley of Gallipolis; her parents, Ervin and Irene Haner of Patriot; brothers, Pearlie and Lawrence Haner; her sister, Florence Hoops; an her second husband, Willard Deyo.
Ida is survived by her children, Frank (Carol) Goff, Woodrow Goff, Ethel (Paul) Prottengeier and Vicki (Vinnie) Carothers; brother, Ben (Merri) Haner; sister, Hazel (Larry) Stout; several grandkids, Christi (Steve) Kitchen, Carla (Mike) Wolfel, Chuck (Tonya) Prottengeier, Vinnie (Sherry) Carothers, Shauna (Travis) Ely, Jennifer (Jeff) Lundford and Amanda (Neil) Newman; Cathy Smith, family friend; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Central College Presbyterian Church and Hilliard Grange No. 2715.
Ida was the former owner of Halley Rest Home in Gallipolis for nine years.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio 43065, phone (614) 792-1471, where the funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday after the visitation. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy Street/Powell Road/State Route 750, one-quarter mile east of Sawmill Parkway).
Graveside services will be observed at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery at Rio Grande.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to Vitas-Innovative Hospice Care, 12096 Champion Way, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241, in Ida’s memory.
