A “tea-party” style rally is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at the Statehouse in Columbus. The Ohio Tea Party will focus on principles instead politics.
You will hear how local action, constitutional principles, and state sovereignty offer real solutions and what we can all do to get involved. Judge Andrew Napolitano, a nationally known legal analyst, author and Fox News contributor, will deliver the keynote address.
Currently, there is a joint resolution in the Ohio Congress designed to remind those in Washington that the federal government is an agent of the states for certain purposes only and that it does not have jurisdiction over everything. This resolution is nearly identical to the one signed by Gov. Sarah Palin in Alaska on July 20.
