GALLIPOLIS — Gallipolis City Commission will meet in special session Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Building, City Manager Joe Woodall announced.
ESC to meet
RIO GRANDE — Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center Governing Board will meet Monday, July 20 at 6 p.m. in the ESC office, Room 131, Wood Hall on the campus of the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College.
Meeting canceled
GALLIPOLIS — The Monday, July 20 meeting of the Gallia-Jackson-Meigs Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services has been canceled.
The board’s next meeting is Monday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. to conduct its regularly scheduled business.
The board typically meets on the third Monday of each month at the board office, 53 Shawnee Lane, Gallipolis, at 7 p.m. Currently, there are board vacancies to be filled. If interested in becoming a board member, contact Ronald A. Adkins ay (740) 446-3022.
Counselor to speak
GALLIPOLIS — Kevin Petrie, a certified counselor with Financial Freedom Counseling Service, will be the guest speaker during the regular monthly meeting of the Holzer Medical Center Cancer Support Group.
The group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16 in Conference Room A-B at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
Petrie is a member of nationally-known financial advisor Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and provides education about church, family and business finances. His teaching topics include the benefits of debt-free living, sound financial principles, establishing a written financial plan and overcoming existing debt.
All cancer survivors, patients, family, friends and other interested parties are invited to attend the meeting. A light dinner will be served.
