GALLIPOLIS — Holzer Senior Outreach is planning for its 13th Annual Celebrity Dinner, which helps to raise funds to support seniors in the Ohio Valley. This unique event is a worthwhile evening of fun, food, friendship and fundraising for a valuable and needed community service.

This year’s Celebrity Dinner will be held Friday, April 26, in the Holzer Education and Conference Center in Gallipolis, Ohio, and will feature a Kentucky Derby theme. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. “Celebrity” waiters for the event will include business leaders, hospital leadership and other community leaders.

Following the dinner, there will be a charity auction featuring craft items, sports-themed collectibles and numerous other donated materials.

“The Celebrity Dinner has become the event to mark on your calendars within our community,” stated Amber Johnson, co-chair for the Celebrity Dinner Fundraiser. “We have several things planned for this year’s event already that are sure to make the dinner a fun and memorable time for everyone.”

“Everyone has such a wonderful time, and we are able to raise funds for such a worthy cause within our health system, Senior Outreach,” added Vicki Nottingham, co-chair for the fundraiser.

Tickets for the Celebrity Dinner are $75 each, which includes a meal and admission to the event. There are many sponsorship opportunities available, and donations are currently being accepted. For more information, please call (740) 441-3406.

Holzer Senior Outreach is a community program that reaches out to the “senior” segment of the community. The program helps isolated seniors with a reassuring phone call or visit to ensure they are safe and that they are taking their prescriptions as indicated. The program gives seniors and their loved ones a sense of security and well being. A loan library is also available with information on various health-related topics for seniors to access. If you know of a senior who would benefit from this service, or you would like to volunteer with Holzer Senior Outreach, please call (740) 441-3915.
