BIDWELL — Members of the community and the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce recently gathered at The Wounded Goose restaurant in Bidwell for an official opening ribbon cutting on Monday.

The restaurant features a breakfast bar from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday along with a soup and salad bar from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The menu also includes a number of signature dishes including Man cakes, three super-sized 16-inch hotcakes that can earn customers a free meal and their picture on the wall if they are able to clean their plate in 30 minutes or less.

“It’s an eclectic menu,” said Katherine Brabham, owner and operator of the restaurant. “We’re offering a lot of stuff that you can’t normally find around here.”

Dishes range from signature sandwiches to neighborhood inspirations. The dinner menu includes courses focused on chicken, pork chops, ribs, steaks, pasta and seafood. And of course no one can forget dessert, which consists of pies, cheesecake, cookies, and ice cream.

The Wounded Goose is a subsidiary of Brabham Family Foods Inc., which also includes Black Tie To Barbeque, a catering and event planning service.
