Orlyn Glenn ‘Bo’ Wallace, age 79, of Bidwell, died Monday morning December 24, 2012, at his son’s home in Gallipolis. Born September 4, 1933, in Gallia County, he was the son of the late Chauncey ‘Dick’ and Irene Lewis Wallace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Glenn Wallace; four brothers, Ivan, Darrell, Warren and Bill Wallace; and by three sisters, Susie Swisher, Vivian Cook and an infant sister.

Orlyn was a retired construction laborer. A member of the Laborers International Union of North American Local # 83. He loved to fish and hunt, especially coon hunt, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a United States Army Veteran., serving in the 1st. Armored Division Signal Corp. from 1953 to 1955.

He is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Jack) McPeek of Gallipolis; a son, Mike (Tammy) Wallace of Gallipolis; five grandchildren, Steven (Amber) Unroe, Mitchell (Misty) Unroe, Samantha , Maggie, and Abby Wallace; seven great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Autumn, Eli, Kierstyn, and Kaleigh Unroe, Ally and Trey Denny; two step-grandchildren, Richard McPeek and Jamie Smith; two step-great-grandchildren, Archer McPeek and Brent Mead; one brother, Robert Wallace of East Wanachi, WA; five special nieces, Sissy (Greg) Smith, Darla (John) Stark , Patty (Jim) Galloway, Helen McAfee and Cindy Stroop; and a special nephew, Wally (Margo) Swisher. Also surviving are several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday December 29, 2012, at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of service. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
