POMEROY — James E. Gardner, 40, of Middleport was charged with murder on Thursday afternoon in connection with the death of his father, James W. Gardner.
The younger Gardner was also in Meigs County Court for a preliminary hearing on a theft charge related to the murder investigation. The charge of theft has been bound over to Meigs County Common Pleas Court.
