GALLIPOLIS — The employees of Ohio Valley Bank and Loan Central are asking for the community’s help to go above and beyond for the less fortunate in our area this Christmas.

Parked at the Ohio Valley Bank Main Office and Jackson Pike locations are semi truck trailers. These are part of the OVBC Christmas Express. The mission of the Express is to fill at least one 55-foot trailer with unwrapped, new toys for underprivileged children in our area. Even though the trailers are parked at these two spots, donations are accepted at any of Ohio Valley Bank’s fifteen locations in Ohio and West Virginia. Loan Central is also accepting donations on behalf of the program.

In addition to toys, cash donations will also be accepted and should be made payable to OVBC Employee Community Fund, with a note on the memo line for OVBC Christmas Express. Donations may be mailed to the attention of Brenda Henson, Ohio Valley Bank, P.O. Box 240, Gallipolis, OH 45631. Donations of coats, hats, scarves and gloves are also welcome.

Deadline for donations is December 8, so that they may be delivered in time for the holiday. For more information on the program, contact Brenda Henson or Angie Kinnaird at OVB’s Main Office on Third Avenue in Gallipolis.
