GALLIPOLIS — The Second Annual Ohio River Live Music Festival drew a large crowd Saturday as a great blend of local and national talent converged on Court Street in Gallipolis to entertain. National up-and-comer Elizabeth Cook headlined the event while community favorite Matt King enthralled attendees with his story-telling musical style.

Those in attendance were clear about one thing, however — they were thrilled with the local and regional talent represented Saturday, as well. Local and regional acts included Bill Hawks, Joey Simms and Shawn Nance, StillWater and Open Rail.

The Ohio River Live committee is already busy planning for next year’s event. They are accepting suggestions on the Ohio River Live Facebook page.

The Ohio River Live committee includes Rick VanGundy, Matt Johnson, Steve Marxen, Karen McCarty, Shannon Mayes, Mark Ward, BeeJ Rocchi, Paul Covey, Jimmy Wiseman and Paula Williams-Wray.
