A. Opal Graham, 95, of Crown City, graduated to heaven on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at the Holzer Senior Care Center.

She was born May 12, 1913, in Crown City, daughter of the late Jesse and Eliza Ours Sims.

Opal was married to Clovis Oren Graham, and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1982.

She was a member of Crown City United Methodist Church and attended Bethlehem Church of Rocky Fork. She was a seamstress.

Surviving are one daughter, Kathryn (Curtis) Sheets of Grove City; two sons, Richard O. (Carol) Graham of Gallipolis, and Danny D. (Linda) Graham of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jessie Mae Bills of Crown City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Halley; five sisters, Iva Gillispie, Myrtle McCroskey, Ina Caldwell, Arlie Brumfield and Pearl Williams; and two brothers, Norris Sims and Ernest Sims.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the Willis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Curtis Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
