Black Knights blank Ripley, Nitro

The Point Pleasant boys soccer team traveled to Ripley to face the Vikings for the first time since the 2009 season Thursday night, and the Black Knights claimed a 2-0 victory over the hosts. PPHS (5-2-0) received goals from Tommy Foust and Colin Peal during the shutout win. This is the second straight shutout victory for PPHS and the fourth shutout this season. Point Pleasant claimed a 1-0 victory over visiting Nitro on Tuesday, as pictured above with Steven Porter (20) fending off a Wildcat defender. No other information was available at presstime.
