GALLIPOLIS — The 6th Annual Harvest Moon Pow Wow, sponsored by the Native American Education Association, will be held this weekend, September 1-3, in the Gallipolis City Park. The Native American culture will be expressed through music, dance and spirituality from 10 a.m. to dark each day.

During the event, Native Americans come together to share, discuss issues, demonstrate, sell and exhibit their work. Storytellers and food vendors will be on hand, and veterans from the American Legion and Gallia County Viet Nam Veterans will open the ceremonies each day.

Dan Cutler, from the Ohio Humanities Council, will be in attendance to identify with children and adults through programs on Chief Cornstalk and Chief Logan, who were active in the Battle of Point Pleasant.

For additional information on the Harvest Moon Pow Wow, please contact Tom Abrahamson at (740) 339-1431 or (740) 245-5511.
