GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — Visiting Belpre made the most of its trip to Cliffside Golf Course on Monday afternoon after posting 22-stroke victory over the field of Miller, Fairland and host South Gallia in both a TVC Hocking and quad match in the Old French City.
The Golden Eagles posted a winning team score of 165, whle the Rebels finished second overall with a tally of 187. Miller was third overall with a 199, followed by non-conference opponent Fairland in fourth with a 223. Belpre picked up two wins in league play with the effort, while SGHS (6-5, 3-4 TVC Hocking) finished the day .500 in league play.
Gus Slone led South Gallia with a 6-over par round of 42, followed by Seth Jarrell and Ethan Swain with respective efforts of 46 and 48. Cuyler Mills rounded out the Rebel scoring with a 51.
Hayden Plummer led BHS with a medalist round of 2-over par 38, followed by Bryce Pittenger with a 41 and Sam Petty with a 42. Brennen Ferrell closed out the winning score with a 44.
Brandon Davis led the Falcons with a 45, followed by Shaun Hayes with a 47 and Dakota McGill with a 52. Chris Gamble rounded out Miller’s tally with a 55.
Hayden James paced the Dragons with a 50, followed by Blake Kerstetter with a 51. Jake Wireman and Ethan Chapman both had matching 61s to wrap up the FHS team score.
