Mamie Louise Adkins, 77, of Crown City, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. She was born April 2, 1935, in Proctorville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harlow and Mary Evelyn Rigney Workman.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kermit Adkins; two daughters, Kathryn (Kent) Williams of Bidwell, Ohio, and Donna Platz of Fultondale, Ala.; three grandchildren, Craig Browning, Cori and Mike Williams; one great-grandson, Chad Browning; one sister, JoAnn (Allen) McMaster; one brother, Holace Workman; and two special friends, Agnes Short and Loretta Rankin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio, by Rev. George Holley. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, P.O. Box 464 Huntington, W.Va. 25709.
